Calendar: Weekly Classes

GREEN TARA PUJA & PRAISES
First Sunday of the Month: Four Mandala Green Tara Puja*, 9:15am
Other Sundays of the Month: Chanting 21 Tara Praises, 9:15am
Tara is the manifestation of all the Buddhas’ holy activities in the form of a female deity. She is said to be swift in bringing benefit and removing obstacles for all beings and many great masters recommend emphasis on the Tara practice. On the first Sunday of each month, we recite the full Four Mandala Green Tara Puja. Other Sundays, we focus on chanting the 21 Tara Praise.
*Initiation is required for the full Four Mandala Green Tara Puja

BLUE FLOWER MEDITATION
Sundays, 10:00 a.m. (except first Sunday of the month)
Calm abiding serves as a foundation of all meditation and is characterized by the stabilization of attention and the calming of the mind’s distractions. It is said to have a profound effect not only on our practice, but on our physical, mental, and emotional health as well. Thus, it is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators, Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike.

NGONDRO PRACTICE
Thursdays, 9:00 a.m.
In the Sakya tradition, these foundational practices (Ngondro) include taking refuge, recitation of the 100-syllable Vajrasattva mantra, mandala offerings and guru devotion. Each practice helps to remove obscurations, generate merit, and prepare one for practice on the Vajrayana path. To join the Ngondro Practice group, please e-mail us at mnsakya@mac.com.
